~Ano ang Global Warming?

sabi ng Wikipedia: Global Warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation.

sabi ni Aian: Ang Global Warming ay mainit. Oo. Warming nga diba.
Sa aking pagkaka-alam, ang Global Warming ay nangyayari
dahil sa mataas na emissions ng Greenhouse gases.
Nagkakaroon tuloy ng Greenhouse Effect.

~Eh ano naman kung merong greenhouse gases?

Oh, eto. galing sa wiki. Ang mga nako-contribute ng Greenhouse Gases sa Greenhouse Effect:

* water vapor, which contributes 36–72%
* carbon dioxide, which contributes 9–26%
* methane, which contributes 4–9%
* ozone, which contributes 3–7%

Makikita naman natin na ang Methane at Carbon Dioxide ang pinaka-malaking contribution sa Greenhouse Effect.

sabi ni Aian: Sa pagkakaalam ko, ang greenhouse effect ay ang pag init sa surface ng mundo. Yan po ang sanhi ng Global Warming, at ang main contributors sa Global Warming ay ang Methane at CO2.

sabi ni Aian: Ang Factory Farms ay pagawaan ng farm. Joke. Sa mga Factory Farms po nagsisiksikan ang libo libong Cows, Chickens atbp sa isang maliit na ispasyo. Ginawa nila ito para maka-tipid sa space. Kapitalismo nga naman. (ibang usapan na yun).

At dahil sa maliit na space na ito, nagkakasakit ang mga hayop.
Siksikan nadin, yung mga dumi nila, patong patong at kung saan saan lang tinatapon ng mga Factory Farm owners.
Sa dumi ng mga hayop na ito nanggagaling ang Methane. Dahil sobra sobra na ang mga baka/kalabaw/baboy at manok sa mundo, dahil sa demand ng fried chicken, fried pork at corned beef, ayun (kaya wag ka na kumain ng karne). Kaya nagkaron ng Factory Farms. At sobrang methane.

~Ok, Ok.. eh ang Carbon Dioxide? Ang galing mo, sagutin mo nga!

sabi ni Aian: hindi ako magaling. madami lang ako na-attendan na seminar tungkol dyan.

Sa pagkakaalam ko, ang Carbon Dioxide ay produkto ng Consumerism (ibang usapan na ulit un). Alam niyo kasi, ang dami dami na producto sa mundo na hindi naman kailangan! Ano ba yan?! Hehe. Naiinis ako. Pero, kadalasan, ang CO2 ay nanggagaling sa incinerators, o sunugan ng basura. Nanggagaling din ang CO2 sa mga sasakyan, sa sigarilyo (kaya wag ka na manigarilyo).

sabi ni Aian: Ang Climate Change ay, CLIMATE CHANGE! Self explanatory na diba? Magiiba ang klima. Ayun tinagalog ko lang. Dahil sa sobrang init na dulot ng Global Warming, natutunaw na ang mga yelo sa ref niyo.. Este, sa mga poles pala. North and South. Nawawalan na tuloy ng tirahan yung mga Polar Bear, at madami sakanila ang nalulunod dahil konti nalang ang Glaziers na pwede nilang pagpahingahan. Dahil hindi na balanse ang Greenhouse Gases, dahil sa ibang lugar mas concentrated na ang mga ito, maaring uminit doon (tulad ng Poles), at sa ibang parte naman, ay maaring lumamig. Obvious ba?! Kaya siguro ako sinisipon.

OMG!

Here are my personal resolutions:

1. Vegetarian po ako. For so many reasons including this one. Mahirap, pero it's worth trying.


2. I hate plastics. As much as possible, if kaya ko i-reduce yung hinihingi kong plastic sa tindahan, ginagawa ko. minsan nga hindi ko na pinapalagay sa plastic.

3. Nagtotoothbrush ako lagi kasi daw bad breath is bad for the atmosphere.



4. I don't smoke.

maliit lang ang human contribution sa global warming!
why?

let's take note of the chemicals we have here, and check out their heat capacity (definition? research nyo na lang!). first is methane (farm factories) with a heat capacity of 200 - 1100 K, and then carbon monoxide (industrial factories, cars, cigarettes) with 175 - 6000 K.
then there's this molecule called which covers 71% of the earth's surface called H2O with a heat capacity of 4186 K. my point here is that the global warming is sensationalized by the media to be human caused, when in fact, IT IS NATURALLY OCCURRING. kasi nga the whole universe is on its path towards entropy (chaos of matter).

i said this not to convince you that global warming is fake, but to tell people not to panic and that its not too late for our dear Earth. nonetheless, if the world's bound to get hot, we shouldn't ignore the fact na makakaapekto rin tayo kung tuloy lang tayo sa pag-emit ng greenhouse gasses. moderation lang.

Kidding. Yes, electric_fun and I were talking about this Global Warming thing while we were embracing capitalism (in short, pinaguusapan namin 'yun habang nasa starbucks).

It does make sense, cause come to think of it, tubig and pinaka-abundant dito sa Earth.

But it doesn't change the fact that humans and animals contribute to greenhouse gases.

Still, don't tell me not to panic. If this info were to get out, people would abuse it and they'd continue polluting our resources. It's naturally occurring, but we do have responsibilities to preserve our resources.

Still, you can't blame those scientists for releasing such a propaganda (if the Global Warming caused by humans really is a mere propaganda), because they brought positive effect to the people, and not to mention, nagbigay sila ng opportunity sa mga kapitalista na magpa-pogi by making those green bag programs.

I'm not saying green bag is bad because capitalists came up with it, it's just that it took them forever to think of such an environment friendly method.

I heard a headline earlier today, saying that plastics from groceries and dept stores will be payed for. So I suggest you start using those green bags. xD

i don't think 2012 the movie has anything to do with global warming. from what i know, 2012 yung date ng end ng mayan calendars, therefore denoting the end of the world. haha. tiningnan ko rin yung site, nothing there that sez about global warming. :p

yung pagtigil ng sigarilyo, it's like hitting 3 birds with one stone.

1. bawas second hand smoke na harmful sa iba
2. mas maganda sa health mo yung pagbawas sigarilyo.
3. saka makakatulong ng konti sa environment.
